so many memories: She didn’t get mad when I spilled wine on the holiday tablecloth as a child. She let her loved ones film her tutorial on how to make gefilte fish. She cried easily, like I do. She was generous and fun loving and minded her own business so as not to hurt people’s feelings. She was so proud of her husband, her kids, and her grandkids. She played golf, she painted, she cooked and made mandelbrot. She cared for our ailing aunt, visiting and providing extra acts of love til the end. She was a role model for me on how to have a happy and peaceful life, and how to have a good marriage. She was inclusive of all, even when relationships were strained. She was a woman of valor. She never forgot her roots. She makes me smile with tears in my eyes.
